5 Days Masai Mara , Lake Nakuru & Lake Bogoria
Day 1: Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick up by driver guide at Nairobi hotel at 0730hrs and depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve. Stop over at the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment for a spectacular view. Arrival at Masai Mara Game Reserve lodge/camp in time for lunch. After check in lunch is served and a short rest follows. In the evening we take our first thrilling game drive, in one of East Africa’s t op safari destinations. Later return to lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast leave for a full day game drive with picnic lunch at Mara river wildebeest migration bride area. This day is spent game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park. Our game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. Also visit the Mara river where one of Earth’s most spectacular wildlife events takes place each year in the heart of eastern Africa, culminating at a river crossing where nature coldly decides who lives to see another season.Dubbed “The Great Migration,” 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelle follow a circular migratory route throughout the Serengeti and Maasai Mara. Later return to camp for rest. Dinner & overnight at Camp
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park which is a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Arrival in time for lunch. Afternoon is spent exploring the park; Attractions include Mammals such as white rhinos, waterbuck etc, View-points: Lion hill, Baboon cliff and Out of Africa, Hills: Enasoit, Honeymoon, Lion hill ridge etc, Waterfalls: Makalia. Flamingo (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total.
Unique vegetation: About 550 different plant species including the unique and biggest euphorbia forest in Africa, Picturesque landscape and yellow acacia woodlands. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Bogoria National Park
After breakfast leave Lake Nakuru to drive to Lake Bogoria. Explore on foot this natural lake and view the Flamingoes in their thousands. Caution must be taken, while walking near the hot springs as these are super-hot. Bogoria is alkaline lake that lies in a volcanic region in a half-graben basin south of Lake Baringo, Kenya, a little north of the equator. The lake is home to one of the world's largest populations of lesser flamingos. Dinner and overnight at lodge/camp
Day 5: Lake Bogoria – Nairobi
Wake up to the beautiful view of the lake and surrounding hills. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with game drive enroute. You will have a stopover along the way for a chance to buy souvenirs. Arrive Nairobi late afternoon and drop off at hotel or airport to catch flight back home.
